Head of Admissions (m/f/d)
Your mission
The Head of Admissions is a key position in our Cologne school, reporting to the School Director and forming part of the school’s Senior Leadership Team. The key focus of the role will be to guide prospective families through the admissions process from A to Z, offering an individual approach to each family.The direct contact with interested families from Pre-Nursery children to IB students will enable the Head of Admissions to implement a growth strategy and development plan that ensures attraction, recruitment and retention of students in all age groups.
To be carried out through demonstrating the schools’ promises and highlighting these through key touch points within the school community both internally and externally. The postholder will have the responsibility for leading the Administration & Admissions team to ensure a seamless Customer Journey (parents and pupils) through setting relevant policy, procedures, quality standards, customer service standards, and ensuring their delivery to all prospective students, applicants, and their influencers.
Main Responsibilities- Accompany prospective families through the entire admissions process from the first contact to the start of school and beyond
- Develop and implement a growth strategy and tactical business development plan that ensures attraction, recruitment and retention of pupils in all year groups
- Achieve the target growth and retention numbers in line with the annual enrolment target
- Monitor the admissions plan and communicate findings to the school management and the board, to ensure the business plan reflects the admissions plan
- Lead, coach and guide the admissions & administrative team through all administrative processes (admissions, events, school trips etc.)
- Oversee parent communication (in alignment with marketing and overall school guidelines)
- Lead, develop and implement best practice throughout the entire admissions process with standardised workflow, emails and striving for outstanding standards
- Develop key processes and lead team to guide parents and students through the admissions process, making the experience positive, easy and engaging throughout
- Lead the team to develop an understanding of each family’s needs and interests, using tools and templates to help them find and sell to each families’ needs and interests
Your profile
Experience & Knowledge- A passion for the education sector and a sales focussed role
- Experience of networking to build mutually beneficial relationships that positively impact on strategic and tactical business development
- Possess the ability to build strong customer support and loyalty and retention
- Experience in the field of Admissions desired
Competencies:
- Strong leadership skills and proven ability to manage a team to achieve and succeed desired outcomes
- Strong analytical skills and proven record of using data and research to support initiatives undertaken
- Experience of working with CRM systems and integration with the sales life cycle
Personal Attributes:
- Proficiency in English and German preferred, additional languages are a plus
- Commercially aware and results driven with good business acumen
- Self-motivated, flexible and adaptable to different tasks at hand
- Proactive and able to prompt others to ensure deadlines and targets are achieved, calm working under pressure
