For our Latex Binders R&D Center of Excellence in Rheinmünster, Germany close to Strasbourg and Karlsruhe we are looking for a

Master Student for 6 months internship (m/f/d)

Responsibilities:

• Make formulations and prepare final prototypes to be tested.
• Test and characterize prototypes. Interpret results within project(s) related to the Adhesives & Sealants field and build relationships between application performances and Trinseo polymer properties.
• Development and implementation of applications tests, if needed for the subject.
• Learning of the lab specific safety procedures, analytical methods and laboratory operating procedures.
• Be part of the lab team and participate to the weekly lab operations.
• Project presentation to the global application R&D team at the end of the internship and complete a report in English.

Qualifications:

• Master student in Chemistry, Formulation, Materials Science or related field.
• Strong interest in working within Adhesives & Sealants application laboratory. Passion and curiosity for formulation, testing and chemistry.
• Initiative and autonomy in carrying out the formulations and tests.
• Good communication and interpersonal team skills.
• Good working knowledge of English. German is not required.
• Good computing skills (Windows / Microsoft Office package).
