Your role:
You are responsible for the real estate portfolio and development of real estate strategies for several countries in the EMEA region.
You will set up real estate site and utilization concepts in line with Merck real estate standards and derived from business strategies and respective demand. You are responsible for transaction management in your countries that includes leasing, prolongation and consolidation of office, lab and warehouse assets as well as acquisition and disposition of real estate.
You are leading and executing independently approx. 15 to 20 international real estate projects per year, with project spend up to high two-digit million EUR amounts. In addition, you are supporting the technical and lease CapEx planning and forecasting.
Internal stakeholder alignment and collaboration with business is a key task. In this context you are developing and aligning project strategies (e.g. "stay vs. move", "buy vs. lease ") with local and regional management/controlling. You are compiling decision papers for executives as well as for investment committees and ensuring and coordinating interaction with other internal process partners.
Who you are:
- University master's in Real Estate, Architecture, Engineering or Business Administration
- Min. 7 years of real estate leasing and management experience
- Extensive knowledge of real estate markets is absolutely necessary
- Experienced in project management
- International business experience
- High degree of self-motivation
- Strategic, structured and result-oriented approach with a strong team focus
- Fluent written and spoken German and English
