As Head of Strategic Procurement, Sustainable Energy Systems within our Business Area, Transformation of Industries, you will be responsible for the development of supply chains, procurement strategies and supplier relationship management to contribute to the growth and success of Siemens Energy while creating additional value beyond classical cost-out.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Drive and be key element of the H2 growth business, including other emerging technologies, in Siemens Energy together with a global team of approx. 10 Strategic Procurement Specialists (Commodity Managers) with an expected growing spend year over year
  • Report directly to the Head of Commodity Management of Siemens Energy business area "Transformation of Industry and be part of the Global Corporate Commodity extended Leadership team
  • Define competency requirements and take action in case of gaps; develop and implement career paths planning for all employees including personal feedback, necessary trainings and proactive development into other functions
  • Develop and implement resilient supply chains and procurement strategies and resulting Framework Agreements based on business requirements and in close collaboration with the business and external partners (Supplier relationship management)
  • Define and implement productivity programs/ measures to achieve the maximum contribution to the targets
  • Collaborate with internal collaborators & customers for problem solving, practice sharing and continuous improvement as well as partner with business leaders to resolve current and future sourcing needs, design sourcing approach, and supervise ongoing effectiveness
What You Bring
  • University degree in a technical or business-related field with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Procurement or related roles, especially in product and project or similar expertise in technical functions
  • Proven success in managing teams including attract, develop, and retain talent: lead career planning and development, mentor high-potential sourcing professionals, ensure adequate training is available, and take other actions to promote a positive work environment
  • Recognized change agent who has led organizational transformations
  • Proven capability to negotiate and to operate in different cultures & significant experience in working with a global supplier base, in a functional matrix environment
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and partner management skills fluently in English and German
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 40% of time
