Your prospective job:

For our customer Airbus Defence and Space you are acting as a Materials & Processes Engineer (m/f/d) at the location Manching.

Your responsibilities:

  • Development of functional materials and associated manufacturing processes
  • Support to workpackages in the area of FCAS and internal development projects
  • Support to national and international R&T projects
  • Deliver material solutions including associated data to other airframe disciplines
  • Develop eco-efficient materials and processes to comply with EHS regulations such as REACh
  • Creation and harmonization of material and process specifications
  • Definition of material and manufacturing process selection lists based on program requirements
  • Definition, coordination and execution of material, process or part specific qualification campaigns
  • M&P support to other engineering and manufacturing disciplines
  • M&P support to supplier audits, quality escapes or obsolescences
  • Support in supplier development in the area of structural and non-structural polymers
  • Ensure appropriate documentation and reporting

Your profile:

  • Completed studies in aerospace, mechanical engineering, materials science or comparable
  • Several years of work experience in aerospace
  • M&P Composite background is a must have
  • Experience in definition and execution of test programs including coordination with internal stakeholders and external suppliers is mandatory
  • First experience with environmental regulatory compliance is appreciated
  • Working experience in laboratory environment is necessary
  • Good knowledge of non-structural aerospace materials and manufacturing technologies is required
  • Sound knowledge in the area of composite technology is needed
  • Basic knowledge in the area of aircraft design and associated requirements is required
  • Demonstrated work package management skills and respective reporting skills is a must have
  • Very good knowledge in MS-Office
  • Fluent German and English skills both spoken and written
