Your new role: Senior Frontend EngineerJob location: on-site in Düsseldorf or remote in Germany
You will be welcomed into our engineering department, which is divided into cross-functional, verticalized development teams, who are focused on delivering continuous improvements, features and developing new products. With strong collaboration from our Support, QA and SRE Teams you will be ensuring the delivery process and the stability of our products.With the backing from our Product and People Team, our Director/Architect and VP of Engineering we are constantly looking to overcome new challenges, to innovate, and to ensure the success of our products and satisfaction of our customers.
Your challenge:
- Lead the development of responsive, interactive and scalable web applications using either Vue.js or React with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Collaborate with backend developers to create seamless and visually appealing user interfaces.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize our applications for maximum scalability and speed.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while following best practices and industry standards.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, providing code reviews and technical direction.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and integrate them into our development processes.
- Debug and resolve technical issues, ensuring a smooth and reliable user experience.
- Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development workflows and processes.
Requirements
About you- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in frontend development, building single page applications
- Proficiency in Vue.js or React, with a strong understanding of their ecosystems.
- Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript with experience in building responsive and accessible web applications.
- Familiarity with state management libraries (e.g., Vuex, Redux) and modern frontend build tools (e.g., Vite, Webpack).
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills and great attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha) and end-to-end testing tools (e.g., Cypress, Selenium) is a plus.
- Familiarity with backend technologies and APIs is a plus.
- Open to various programming languages and willing to learn continuously
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
