Your role and responsibilities
Looking for a taste of working life in an international, future-focused corporate group? Then join us as an intern (m/f/d) and familiarise yourself with a suitable department for 3 to 6 months. You will be involved in large-scale projects and perform a defined set of duties independently.Use your internship to build a network and become familiar with our company.
The following tasks and responsibilities will be part of your role:- Implement an AutoML-based pipeline (e.g., data preprocessing, feature selection, algorithm selection, model evaluation, etc.).
- Enhance and refine the framework by improving its structure and usability, ensuring a seamless experience for users. Contribute to making the solution intuitive and accessible through thoughtful design and implementation.
- Develop detailed and user-friendly documentation to guide future developers and users, enabling effective utilization and further development of the solution.
- Expand the capabilities of the software by integrating additional algorithms and features. You’ll have the opportunity to innovate and contribute your own ideas to shape the future of the solution.
- Drive an independent work task as a project team member, taking ownership and bringing your creativity and technical skills to the table.
- Currently studying Mathematics, Physics, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- You have a strong understanding of both traditional machine learning models and deep learning techniques, and you’re excited to apply them to real-world scenarios.
- You have hands-on programming experience, particularly in Python, with a knack for writing clean, well-structured, and maintainable code.
- Ideally, you have prior experience developing ML-based forecasting models and are familiar with automated machine learning concepts and tools.
- You have worked with platforms like MLflow, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar, and are comfortable using libraries such as scikit-learn, Keras, pandas, NumPy, or other ML frameworks.
- You have a good grasp of software engineering principles, version control systems (e.g., Git), and collaborative development practices.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); German is a plus but not mandatory.
- A motivated team player with the ability to work independently in an international, interdisciplinary environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, combined with enthusiasm for professional and personal growth.
