Who will you join?
  • The Accounting Hub as part of Group Accounting and Reporting in H2 is a central provider of accounting functions for Allianz entities in Germany and worldwide. We provide a wide range of financial services and are a centre of competence for investment accounting, subledger accounting, closing & reporting for insurance and non-insurance entities and the maintenance and development of our financial systems.
  • The team Finance Systems Overarching is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the core SAP finance and accounting applications for a number of different OEs. In addition, the team plays a critical role in the development and evolution of the future finance landscape and is heavily involved in the Group initiative SimpliFi.
  • The position plays a key role in ensuring that finance requirements are understood and translated into successful technology solutions.
  • You will work in both operational business support and project environments to adapt existing finance solutions or define new solutions.

How can you make an impact?

You Will:

  • Define, drive and deliver financial solutions and optimised end-to-end processes in close collaboration with all stakeholders (business, IT and service providers). Ensure detailed testing and thorough documentation
  • Define and set up automated closing processes in relevant ERP systems of the OEs under team responsibility and analyse and ensure resolution of errors or issues during the closing
  • Review audit findings relating to financial applications and processes. Identify possible courses of action to address the findings. Implement mitigating actions in close collaboration with in-volved stakeholders
  • Manage and govern SAP authorisations and authorisation processes
  • Participate in projects that represent the team’s area of expertise and develop sufficient expertise to lead project streams in relevant areas
  • Support the Group initiative SimpliFi as an expert on the data model, technical accounting data flows, authorisations and closing processes
  • Support the establishment of appropriate OE operational processes under SimpliFi team ownership

What are you made of?

Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree or comparable on the job-training and relevant experience
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of processes in an accounting system, preferably SAP
  • Analytical Thinking and Numeracy: Ability to identify patterns and root causes in complex (e.g. ambiguous, from various sources) data and processes to rapidly distil key issues and provide insight in various situations
  • Communication and Presentation Skills: Ability to understand, elaborate and convey information clearly and effectively in respect to the audience / level of management (both verbal and in writing)
  • High-level finance and insurance know-how as well as understanding of complexities inherent in an insurance group allowing for cross-departmental thinking and acting
  • Theoretical or practical knowledge of project management methodology
  • Previous experience in business related functions (i.e. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • First experience with SimpliFi Group Initiative a plus
