What to Expect:
As a Senior Supply Chain Manager (m/f/d), you will play a significant role in driving the success and efficiency of our global supply chain operations. Your mission will be to functionally lead a team of planners and the supplier relationship towards our strategic partner Hitachi.By doing this, you are responsible for the availability & inventory strategy of critical components within our global network as well as the partnership to our CoreLab customer area within the Global Customer Support and the Lifecycle Team. This position offers the opportunity to navigate the complexities of global logistics, manage demand fluctuations, and contribute to sustainability efforts by setting the guardrails in Stakeholder Management over the complete lifecycle.
Besides operational business, your responsibilities will include the following special tasks:
- Portfolio Ownership: You own the portfolio of the Hitachi planning team, including responsibility for availability of parts & inventory strategy as well as optimizing the operational processes and KPI’s
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with internal departments such as Technical Product Management, Lifecycle Team and external suppliers to ensure high-performant operations and support the planning organization.
- Functional Leadership & Coordination: Guide a team of planners to drive efficiency and success in the supply chain. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement. Manage our biggest supplier and strategic partner Hitachi from Japan, along with other spare parts supplier relationships
- Process Management: Conduct process and system analyses, initiate and implement end-to-end process improvements. Act as the process owner for defined spare parts processes and create training materials as needed. Implement cross-departmental process improvements,
- Project Work and Leadership: Participate in and lead projects with defined work packages, analyze complex topics, develop concepts, describe requirements, and support the implementation process.
- Affiliate Management: Engage with defined country organizations to act as a consultant for supply chain processes and optimize the local availability and inventory levels, integrate local needs with global processes, and coordinate relevant topics within the Global Customer Support team.
Who you are:

- Economic Studies Expertise: A degree in supply chain management, business informatics or business administration is required.
- International Industry Experience: Above 5 years of experience on higher value activities in supply chain functions within the international industrial sector is essential- (e.g. leadership, matrix leading, consulting, project management, negotiation with international suppliers, supplier relationship management). Spare parts knowledge is a plus.
- Project Management: Experience in leading mid- to large size projects or projects streams
- Analytical Independence: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently. Analytical mind who is capable of building data-driven strategies that keep our supply chain competitive.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication is vital, whether presenting data-driven insights or collaborating with international teams.
- Team Player: A collaborative mindset is essential to achieve our global supply chain goals.
- English Proficiency: Business Fluent English is necessary, as you will be communicating with colleagues and stakeholders worldwide.
- International Business Trips: Willingness to travel internationally up to 10%
