The client is currently running SAP Legacy Application called Tiger (SAP ERP) to manage their Production of Writing Instruments in the Production site in Hamburg full scope: SAP PP, MM, FICO, etc. There is a differentiation between regular client products (Series Production) and very special limited edition or high value / high artistry products (Artisan Department).
Artisan Department today is using SAP PS as the backbone for managing their product development and production for those writing instruments as ""projects"". Today they don´t use SAP articles for the most part and do not use SAP PP.
Client uses a group global SAP System,it´s SAP ERP + EWM etc. The client already migrated this year from Tiger to Gemini for SAP Retail scope and Worldwide Distribution flows.
This project is now to migrate the remaining parts from Tiger to Gemini > Manufacturing. Gemini SAP System does not provide comprehensive SAP PS functionalities, it is mostly used to post CATS timesheets for IT projects, but no business use today.Hence for the client there is a Gap between Gemini Template and Artisan department requirements.
Project Role:
- Senior SAP PP/PS Consultant for the Gemini Project
- Plan, prepare and run FitGap Assessment Workshops, collect requirements, analyze AS IS SAP PS Solution in SAP Tiger
- Propose Target Architecture
- Goal is to move wherever possible to have Artisan use SAP PP as well and integrate SAP PP, EWM, MM Procurement etc. to SAP PS for those business processes
- Other tasks for typical SAP projects: Functional Specification, SAP Customizing, working with DEV Team, Prepare Data with Users for Tests, Input to Cutover Planning, Test Preparation and Execution
