For our team in Boeblingen, we are searching for a Technical Documentation Engineer (m/f/x). For this position, we can only consider applicants who are already living in Germany, due to timely urgency.

Your responsibilities:

• As a Technical Documentation Engineer in the domain of Automatic Test Equipment (ATE), you will be in charge of developing user and service documentation, creating use-case-driven descriptions, to guide customers and support engineers
• You will be creating content in the areas of electronic measurement technology and test program coding, test frameworks and testing software running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and mechanical and electronic hardware design and maintenance
• Continuously acquire technical knowledge by working in close cooperation with the experts of various R&D, Application Engineering, and Product Support departments
• Following DITA standards and supported by a comprehensive Eclipse-based Oxygen XML Editor authoring system, GIT-based version management and JIRA information and tracking tools, you will create online documentation for the Advantest V93000 system on a chip test system product range

Your profile:

• Completed with good grades, a bachelor’s, master’s or other university degree in a science or engineering subject (electrical engineering, physics, computer science, etc.) or in technical documentation
• Excellent English language skills (native speaker level is preferred). Good German skills are advantageous
• You have preferably good knowledge of electronic systems, electrical measurements, and software development methods
• Demonstrated success in designing, writing, and delivering high-quality technical documentations for complex technical systems (industrial or university environment)
• Familiar with state-of-the-art methods and tools used in technical product documentation
• Technically inquisitive and able, with strong interests in science and engineering
• Practical, hands-on type, and enjoy working with mechanical and electronics equipment
• Tenacious and thorough, investigating and collecting all the information you need to create great content
• A good teacher, able to place yourself in the shoes of your audience and educate clearly and concisely
• With great attention to detail, you enjoy writing and creating helpful, well-structured materials that help customers to succeed
• Reliable, proactive, structured, and highly motivated
• Able to work independently in a dynamic and customer-driven environment with tight deadlines
