Compensation Analyst (f/m/d), Asset Management

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Human Resources professional to join our team as a Compensation Analyst, who will report to the Head of HR Governance of Allianz Asset Management. This critical role involves working closely with the members of the Human Resources Team in Asset Management, within the Allianz Group and with external providers (Share plan administrator / Market Benchmark Consultants – McLagan/ Willis Towers Watson).

We are looking for a team member who is a self-starter, has exceptional analytical, execution and organizational, skills, with relevant experience in Human Resources and a proven track record in a similar role within the financial services or asset management sector.

Job Purpose/ Role

The Asset Management HR Governance Function is in charge of a broad range of Compensation and HR related topics and represents Asset Management specific interests for HR matters on an Allianz Group level. It also advises the AAM Compensation Committee which oversees the design and governance of the AAM group-wide remuneration system, compensation and benefit plans and their further development.

Based in Munich, you will become a member of the HR Governance Team, which acts as an interface between Allianz Group HR and the HR functions of the AllianzAM Business Units (AllianzGI and PIMCO) reporting to the Head of this function.

We are looking for a hands-on attitude personality who is comfortable working in a broad role and undertaking a variety of activities, ranging from spreadsheet analysis to presenting to senior leaders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and support the preparation of the AllianzAM Holding Compensation Committee, including the global compensation review cycle
  • Assist with the preparation of the AllianzAM Group Compensation Committee, including ongoing support related to all governance related topics
  • Assist with the compensation process and reporting, including benchmarking, annual compensation review, and payroll coordination
  • Conduct research and gather data on compensation surveys and market trends
  • Examine compensation package trends to ensure industry and market competitiveness and high employee retention
  • Build and maintain several reports to support the decisions made pertaining to salary and benefits
  • Advise management on human resources procedures, benefits and compensation policies,
  • Provides analysis and counsel to management on compensation programs and initiatives related to pay structures, short term incentives, pay change recommendations, new hire offers
  • Ensure ongoing administration of the Asset Management Group wide long-term incentive program, in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, such as Business Unit Compensation Teams, Legal, Finance, HRIS/IT, Plan administration provider
  • Support the administration of the Allianz Group wide long-term equity incentive plan and the employee share purchase plan
  • Participate in ad hoc projects, perform independent in-depth analysis and present findings to AAM Senior Management
  • Manage performance management and personal development plan processes for the AAM Holding Team
  • Support ongoing internal reporting activities and ensure compliance with Group reporting requirements, including HR Metrics and non-financial sustainability reporting
  • Provide financial accruals relating to compensation costs to Finance
  • Assist with internal communications related to HR topics
Key Requirements/ Skills/ Experience
  • University degree in business administration, Human Resources or other related disciplines
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in HR
  • Ability to use good judgment, be discreet and highly trustworthy, and demonstrate ethical conduct along with high level of integrity and demonstrated ability to manage confidential information
  • Must have strong quantitative, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with ability to research and analyze various types of data
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to comfortably interact with people in an international environment
  • Highly detailed driven with emphasis on accuracy, coupled with the ability to see the broader picture
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment with a hands-on attitude
  • Must have advanced level Microsoft Excel skills
  • Above average analytical skills, especially in other MS Office suite products
  • Excellent verbal, written communication skills, presentation, and facilitation skills as well as interpersonal and consultative skills
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in German and English
  • Previous experience within asset management or banking is strongly desirable
