Your prospective job:
You are acting as a Mechanical Design Engineer (m/f/d) for our client in the field of aerospace industry in Weßling. As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will be responsible for the design of individual parts and complex assemblies used for testing, verification and certification of our Jet and will play a key role in bringing our innovative aircraft to life.
Your responsibilities:
- Design aerospace parts and assemblies for flight testing
- Design parts and assemblies for test rigs and fixtures
- Design Instrumentation installation solutions
- Create 3D parts and assemblies in CAD (Siemens NX), including harness routing
- Manage the design data of your system in Teamcenter
- Participate in systems engineering activities
- Derive fully dimensioned 2D technical drawings appropriate for production and certification
- Document your work according to our relevant processes
- Consult with engineers of other disciplines, for example Manufacturing Engineers regarding manufacturability of your designs
- Provide input to Project Management and Test Engineering Lead on project performance against established milestones
- Work on any ad hoc related projects or tasks
Your profile:
- Completed studies in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or a similar qualification
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience of mechanical rig design in the aerospace and/or component testing
- Excellent understanding of general design principles and technical correlations
- Strong knowledge of Siemens NX
- Advanced knowledge of ISO GPS (alternatively ASME GD&T) and overall good drafting skills
- Basic knowledge with PDM/PLM systems (Teamcenter or equivalent)
- Experience in harness routing using NX
- Experience with FEA (particularly NX Nastran)
- Fluent English language skills are essential, fluent German or any other language would be beneficial
