Working student in our Public Finance Management (PFM) department

The PFM Department currently consists of 25 members and is divided in two portfolios. The Department offers consultancy services related to transparent financial and fund management. These services include:

• fund and grant management services,
• public procurement management,
• fiscal/fiduciary agent services.

Your task will be to support our project coordinators in the following areas:

• Quality review of the work of the project’s financial experts by conducting quarterly financial transaction testing and provide feedback to experts
• Review of monthly financial reports from experts on statistics of transaction entries in the GFA financial reporting tool
• Ensure adequate management and organization of documents on OneDrive and maintain proper file structure as well as access control
• Ensure the accuracy of project management tools
• Quality review of monthly financial reconciliation processes
• Contract management
• Maintain and update project tracking tools e.g. Capacity Building Tracker
• Preparation of quarterly project reports
• Provide IT support to project experts (Word, Excel, OneDrive)
• You are an enrolled student in the fields of economics, business administration, political science, law or a comparable course of study
• You have very good English and preferably French skills. Very good command of German is an asset
• You have strong organizational and communication skills
• Good analytical thinking
• You are characterized by initiative and a reliable, solution-oriented and systematic way of working
• Working with Word, Excel and PowerPoint is no problem for you t
• You can come to the office in Hamburg Volksdorf occasionally when needed
