Technology and data play a crucial role in the success of our business at Allianz Global Investors. We are executing a series of global change initiatives to boost our investment technology platforms and empower our investment teams and financial controlling functions.In this context, we are searching for a Private Markets Platform Engineer for our global Data & Technology team to enhance the Investment Platform hosting Renewable Energy, Infrastructure, Impact Investment, Private Equity and Private Debt investments business lines.
We are looking for a communicative client-centric Investment Technology professional, who will develop a deep technical understanding of our Private Markets platform consisting of the eFront source system, data lakehouse and PowerBI based visualisation layer.
She/he will contribute to the efficiency, productivity, and success of Allianz Global Investors.
What you do:
- As part of an ongoing project to modernize reporting architecture, we are transforming a business-as-usual role into an engineering role to enhance and to operate our Private Markets platform in a product-based setup.
- Working closely with other Private Markets Investment Services teams in iterative developments in reporting and primary data systems leveraging our technology stack based on Azure services.
- Technical design and build based on data and process requirements in line with strategic architecture and software development principles.
- Work in international project and change environments, closely with colleagues in Investment, IT and Operations as well as external partners.
- Driving forward innovation and system harmonization considering non-functional and regulatory requirements as well the future technology architecture.
What you bring:
- The ideal candidate has an Agile mind-set and is a team player who is comfortable working in cross-functional teams.
- Strong track record in designing and engineering of data and dashboard &reporting solutions, preferably in the financial industry.
- Expertise in software and data engineering using Phyton, Power BI plus DAX and SSRS
- Further experience in data analysis and data modelling and exposure to data lakehouse architecture.
- University degree in Math/Science/Engineering/Computer Science
- Finance/investment management knowledge is a plus.
- Proven experience with SDLC tools
- Exposure to data solutions using the Azure cloud environment with Azure SQL, Datalake, Databricks and Unity Catalog
- Agile mindset and ability to work in a dynamic, international, and culturally sensitive environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English
