Who will you be joining?
Allianz’s Group Compliance (GC) function is in charge of managing compliance risk to bolster Allianz's reputational and financial strength and to support value focused company leadership. As such GC is responsible for monitoring and reporting on the Group's overall compliance risk profile, and thus ensuring that individual Allianz companies adhere to the Group's compliance governance principles.The Compliance function within Allianz strives for Groupwide effective and efficient compliance processes supported by global tools and solutions. Besides steering and monitoring the Group, GC is also acting as the Compliance function for Allianz SE.
How can you make an impact?
You will:
- Support the Group Chief Compliance Officer (CCO)/ Head of Group Compliance in executing the tasks of the Compliance Function and maintaining an adequate and effective Compliance Management System (CMS) at Allianz SE.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of an annual Compliance Plan for Allianz SE
- Assist the Group CCO in fulfilling internal and external reporting requirements related to important compliance matters and activities
- Proactively contribute to the development and maintenance of a comprehensive compliance framework for a legal change monitoring and management process in Allianz SE to systematically identify and record relevant legal changes affecting Allianz SE
- Ensure functions and departments in Allianz SE have implemented appropriate and effective processes and controls to comply with applicable external requirements and internal corporate rules
- Drive continuous collaboration and alignment with other Allianz SE’s control functions on important initiatives as part of Allianz SE’s Internal Control System to ensure an aligned and efficient approach at Allianz SE
- Conduct regular risk assessments, monitor, review and test implemented controls based on the Non-Financial Risk Management (“NFRM”) methodology
- Oversee the performance of compliance tasks in the nonregulated entities directly owned by Allianz SE
- Coordinate Compliance’s communications with Allianz SE’s supervisor BaFin
- University level degree, e.g. in Law or Economics. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager) may be preferred
- 7+ years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, corporate governance, legal, regulatory reporting or a similar role within the financial service industry
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Very strong team spirit, high self-motivation and a proactive and collaborative working style, as well as ability to interact in a global work environment with people from different countries and cultures, excellent communication skills
- Strong project management, organizational and planning skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently to drive compliance initiatives forward
- Several years of Operating Entity and Allianz SE Group experience would be a plus
- Excellent German and English skills (both written and spoken), additional languages are a plus
- Strong knowledge of MS Office
- Previous experience in business related functions (i.e. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus.
