🥜 In a nutshell
Thanks to our Shoppers and Runners, all Picnic customers receive timely deliveries. They are essential to our supply chain, and our business couldn't run smoothly without them. As our Payroll & Benefits Specialist, you will co-manage the monthly payroll cycle for Shoppers, Runners, and Central Teams, handle employee benefits, manage sick leave, and ensure regulatory compliance.You will also coordinate and execute benefits with the People team, work with our payroll provider, improve processes, train teams on payroll aspects of HR policies, and collaborate with various business teams. Together with our three other Payroll & Benefits Specialists you will help Picnic grow!
🎯 What you’ll do- Prepare, review, approve, and control of the monthly payroll cycle.
- Continuous further development of our payment process including participation in tech initiatives to develop a (homegrown) IT-landscape which scales just like Picnic does.
- Administer employee benefits, including health & employee insurances, sick-leaves, pension plans, and other voluntary benefits.
- Assist employees with payroll and benefits inquiries, ensuring timely and professional resolution.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant governmental regulations, including but not limited to tax laws, labor laws, and benefits regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of all payroll and benefits transactions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports.
- Management of numerous internal and external stakeholders in the payment process.
- Support the formalization of policies and benefits.
- Completed bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, HR or similar field. Preferably specialist Payroll certificates.
- Good knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets
- 1-6 years of working experience in the fields of payroll, payments, HR or finance
- Initial experience with an HCM system, preferably Workday, is advantageous
- Responsible and accurate way of working
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to effectively set priorities and communicate payment progress
- Excellent knowledge of German and English
