Analyst (w/d/m)

The position is based in Bremen with the option of mobile working.
Your new position:
- Quantitative Analysis of the European power market and its prices drivers
- Provision of quantitative view on market dynamics and interdependencies to traders (e.g. through volatilities, sensitivities and correlations)
- Development and operating of mathematical models and tools used for commercial decision making in the realm of hedging, pricing, position management and market analytics
- Contribution to development of new business (e.g. green power)
- Close cooperation and development of effective working relationships with traders, peer analysts, and originators to establish optimal information flow and decision making
Your profile:
- Excellent education in physics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, or economics (master, diploma, or Ph D level)
- Very strong quantitative and analytical skills as well as deep understanding of stochastic calculus, statistical methods, and data science techniques
- Experience in the front office of a commodity trading house is advantageous
- Advanced expertise in object-oriented programming (ideally in Python)
- Experience in modern cloud IT stacks (e.g. Gitlab CICD, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS) is advantageous
- Team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Proactive entrepreneurial attitude, strong orientation on results with a commercial mindset, Can-Do mentality, and ability to work independently and under time pressure
- Very good command of written and spoken English, knowledge of German language is a plus
