Laboratory Support Specialist
Overview:
We are on the lookout for a Laboratory support specialist that will be responsible for providing technical assistance and expertise to the Repligen sales force and its customers related to the laboratory instrumentation (including spectroscopy) that it sells and supports.
Repligen is a life sciences company focused on the development, production and commercialization of high-value consumable products used in the process of manufacturing biological drugs.
You’ll be part of a cross functional team of 6 highly motivated and collaborative colleagues that provide support on site at customer locations. The type of support will include system qualifications (Installation, Operation and Performance (IQOQPQ), product testing, system maintenance and customer training.Delivering training and support will involve travel to customer locations both domestic and international. This role is located in Germany and reports into the Director of Global Field Service.
Responsibilities:
As Laboratory Support Specialist you will provide on-site technical support to customers (pharmaceutical and biotech). Furthermore:
- Learn the fundamental principles of Slope Spectroscopy and the theory of operation of the SoloVPE spectrophotometer system.
- Learn how to operate, maintain, and repair the SoloVPE system and its components.
- Perform Sample testing on customer samples and in support of product development and sales.
- Train Customers on the theory and operation of the SoloVPE system.
- Perform Installation, Operational and Performance Qualifications of the SoloVPE system.
- Provide help desk and troubleshooting support to customers (in person and remotely)
- Support the Repligen Sales Force with testing, reporting and customer interactions.
- Facilitate the SoloVPE Demo/Loaner System Programs including performing verification testing of demo systems upon return and prior to shipment.
- Document activities on the Repligen ERP and CRM software platforms.
Qualifications:
The successful Laboratory Support Specialist will have good interpersonal and communication skills. Backed up by:
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field (biology, chemistry, life sciences)
- A few years of laboratory experience
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- A willingness to travel domestically and internationally (EU) is required
