What you'll do

Join Codasip Labs, our innovation and research innovation hub, where we work on cutting-edge technologies and prepare them for rapid commercialization. Within Labs, you will work closely with academic and industry partners, and engage directly with current and prospective customers.

As a Senior Hardware Research Engineer you will focus on researching, developing, and deploying critical (micro-)architectural components for our next generation of high-performance RISC-V processors.

You will:

  • Innovate, develop, integrate, and evaluate cutting-edge (micro-)architectural features for our next-generation of high-performance RISC-V processor family using the Codasip Studio EDA tool.
  • Contribute to design verification and FPGA-based demonstrations.
  • Support Codasip’s contribution to joint proof-of-concept demos with academic and industrial partners.
  • Present technical achievements at international venues (e.g., RISC-V summit).

Requirements

What you need:

  • Proven expertise in digital design and computer architecture, with a focus on debugging and PPA optimization of complex systems.
  • The ability to work independently and manage time effectively within a distributed team environment.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)

What we'd love you to have:

  • Familiarity with High-Level Synthesis (HLS) tools and languages (e.g., C++, MATLAB, SystemC) - as the Codasip Studio EDA environment operates in a similar manner.
  • Recent hands-on experience and/or track record within IP / Processor development (e.g., System Verilog, Verilog/VHDL) for RISC-V
  • German (written and spoken) language skills
