Why be a Field Sales & Education Manager at THG?
The role of the Sales, Field & Education Manager, is to help manage retail store sales, launch initiatives, inventory, in-store product merchandising, overall education programs for the region and training.

Demonstrating training and selling support to designated stores within the territory to help achieve overall weekly/monthly retail sales target. Serves as a key liaison between Biossance Brand and Douglas in-store and head office teams to positively build and maximize brand awareness with Douglas teams/ stores.

In this role you would be responsible for the following countries within EU: Germany and some Portugal support. There may be additional travel outside of these countries on occasion.

Reporting to: Senior Sales & Education Manager UK & EU / Regional Director of UK & EU.
As a Field Sales & Education Manager, you'll: Training
  • Regular instore trainings with key doors, strengthening brand and product knowledge, keeping Biossance front-of-mind for all Douglas BAs
  • Partner with Sales, Field and Education Manager in the UK to identify training opportunities and hold larger scale education events – i.e. Classroom training
  • Act as an ambassador for Biossance, always maintaining a professional appearance and attitude both in person and across social channels
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with all levels of Douglas Field and Store Leadership
Driving Sales
  • Responsible for managing EU market to drive growth and working collaboratively with Douglas to deliver sales objectives
  • Ensure in-store merchandising and brand presentation is consistent with brand guidelines, supporting VM updates in a timely manner and providing feedback to the Senior Account Manager UK&EU team
  • Maintain strong inventory focus, working with Senior NAM to manage out of stocks and escalate where necessary
  • Work closely with Sales and Education Manager on new Douglas store openings in Germany, including merchandising and store-opening trainings and activities as required
  • Turn around poor performing doors through time and effort spent in store developing teams and ensuring strong partnerships with Store and Regional Managers
  • Challenge assumptions about performance through careful analysis of the data, knowledge of the people, and finding and acting on the underlying causes of poor performance
  • Regular communication with Senior NAM and Sales, Field Manager for UK and provide weekly recaps on store performance and market specific highlights
  • Use Sales data to plan time in store and travel needs
  • Build strong business relationships with Douglas field, stores, management teams to build brand love
  • Ability to plan and execute minor and major special events in stores to drive sales
  • Be a Biossance Ambassador in store, building brand love and knowledge
  • Ability to identify quick opportunities locally and feedback to wider Sales Team in Office
  • Support other EU exclusive partners; P&C Portugal if visits are required
  • Able to support with Douglas platforms, German translations and general marketing POS
What skills & experience do I need for this role?
  • Minimum of 4 years Account / Education Executive in the cosmetics industry. Douglas experience a plus
  • Passion for selling & training Beauty in an instore environment
  • Ability to speak fluent German
  • Self-managed
  • Strong negotiation skills to enable space and location opportunities as business grows
  • Strong presentation skills with ability to execute brands messaging on clean beauty, experience presenting to both large and small training audiences
  • Proficient in Basic Word, Excel, PPT
  • Ability to travel
  • Clean driving record according to company criteria
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings, and some holidays
