Your role and responsibilities
In this role you will be working as Digital Thread Specialist – Design, Configuration & Knowledge Sharing and will be part of Electrification business area for Smart Power division. In this role you will be member of Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing Framework Agile Team and will report to Chapter Lead – Analytics and will be responsible for driving the adoption and integration of Digital Thread, Digital Shadow and Digital Twin technologies to revolutionize our product development processes.
This role is pivotal in educating and supporting the business to understand and leverage these advanced methodologies for enhanced product lifecycle management. The primary objective is to bring extensive experience in implementing digital threads across various stages of product lifecycle management (PLM), connecting data, tools, and systems seamlessly to enable robust end-to-end traceability and real-time insights
The work model for the role is hybrid.
This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power globally.
You will be mainly accountable for:- Partnering with business stakeholders to understand process requirements and identify opportunities for digital transformation, focusing on digital thread, digital shadow, and digital twin.
- Collaborating across all ELSP disciplines at a technical level to define and implement unified data models and digital thread initiatives that align with organizational goals.
- Developing and managing digital thread architectures that integrate multiple data sources, digital models, and enterprise systems such as PLM, ERP, MES, and CRM.
- Leading the integration of disparate data systems and tools to enable a unified, accessible, and real-time data environment while ensuring end-to-end data traceability.
- Staying abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in digital twin to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
- Creating awareness and providing training to ELSP teams on digital twin, digital shadow, and digital thread initiatives.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology Management, or a related field, along with 10+ years of industry experience focused on large transformation projects in product lifecycle management.
- Strong track record in designing and implementing digital thread solutions and integrating enterprise systems (PLM, ERP, MES), as well as familiarity with data integration and connectivity tools (e.g., APIs, middleware platforms).
- Technical skills and proven experience in business consulting, from requirements gathering to development, support, and training in a multi-vendor environment.
- Experience managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating teamwork, adaptability, analytical thinking, client focus, and capabilities in business process understanding and improvement.
- Collaborative, solution-focused approach with strong communication and relationship-building skills, along with fluency in English for effective interaction.
