(Junior) Quant Analyst (m/w/d) - Alphawave
Alphawave Düsseldorf
As a (Junior) Quant Analyst, you work on the development and validation of quantitative trading models. You analyze data, test hypotheses, andsupport models from research through to production — with a direct impact on robustness, performance, and scalability of our strategies.
Your Responsibilities- Quantitative research & model development: You develop, test, and refine quantitative trading models based on historical and live market data. In doing so, you analyze market structures, price formation mechanisms, and statistical patterns.
- Backtesting & validation: You design and conduct backtests, simulations, and robustness analyses, evaluate model performance and drawdowns, and derive data-driven optimization approaches.
- Signal & feature engineering: You work on the development and evaluation of new signals, features, and model parameters, assessing their stability across different market regimes.
- Model analysis & documentation: You critically analyze existing models, identify weaknesses and improvement potential, and document assumptions, results, and decision logic in a transparent and reproducible manner.
- Collaboration within the team: You work closely with quantitative researchers, traders, and developers, contributing structured research insights to the ongoing improvement of our models and systems.
- Bridge between research & implementation: You support models from the research stage through to productive deployment and assist in translating research ideas into stable, scalable trading logic.
