Your Opportunity

As an IT Warehouse Consultant (m/f/d), you translate complex operational requirements into detailed requirements, solutions, and procedures with a focus on warehouse management systems. You evaluate potential solutions with our suppliers based on business requirements and coordinate the implementation of the solutions. You create quality-relevant documentation and manage the implementation of extensions and changes to existing IT solutions. Your contribution optimizes IT processes and enables efficient work. Specifically, the following tasks are part of your area of responsibility:

  • Business Analyst: As a Business Analyst, you are the link between the business community and IT. Your task is to ensure that the technical solutions meet the users' requirements. To do this, you develop a good understanding of warehouse business processes (receiving, storage, replenishment, picking, packing, and dispatching) to specify highly complex requirements and translate them into detailed service requirements, paying attention to security and quality requirements (GxP environment) and financial guidelines.
  • Solution Architect & Test Coordinator: As a Solution Architect & Test Coordinator, you play an important role in specifying the architecture of IT systems and conducting tests of business processes in close collaboration with internal and external IT partners. You advise the Business Process Owner on improving business processes and work closely with the project team to ensure that the systems are optimally developed and tested.
  • System Ownership & Change Management: As a Change Owner, you are responsible for the entire lifecycle of a change. You coordinate the involvement of all parties involved and ensure that all changes, e.g., to the IT infrastructure, are effectively managed and documented. As a Service Manager, you work closely with warehousing suppliers to ensure the stability of the warehouse systems. You analyze and optimize ITSM processes in coordination with service management experts.
  • 2nd Level Support: You analyze problems and support the first level support.
  • Project Manager: As a Project Manager, you are responsible for the successful implementation of projects. You plan, monitor, and control all project activities and inform project stakeholders about the progress. You work very closely with external suppliers and different IT areas.

Who You Are

You want to actively take charge of your own development and have a great interest in learning new things. As a committed team player, you enjoy achieving goals in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment, with customer orientation being particularly important to you.

Furthermore, you see the big picture, gladly take on new challenges, and drive innovations forward.

To be successful in this role, you also bring the following:

  • You have successfully completed a degree in computer science (or a degree with a comparable focus) and have already gained experience in a large, global IT organization, especially in the area of supply chain & warehousing. Experience in a regulated/validated environment and with computer system validation is also required.
  • You have a solid technical understanding of both UNIX & Windows servers as well as Oracle and MySQL databases.
  • If you can also demonstrate training or further education in project management, that would be very advantageous.
  • As an expert and partner at eye level, you bring excellent communication skills (both in German and English). The area that you are supporting is based in Mannheim, Germany (German language skills are necessary). This helps you build and maintain trusting relationships with colleagues and stakeholders worldwide. Your strategic and goal-oriented thinking also helps you to act successfully in the role.
  • Furthermore, you are willing to travel about 20% during working hours.
