Your role and responsibilities
A data architect plays a central role in the design, development and monitoring of the data infrastructure. This enables data managers to provide accurate, up-to-date and reliable product information and ensure its use in various business applications.
- Data structure development: Designing data models that ensure product data is consistent, complete and easily accessible.
- Integration of data sources: Linking different systems (e.g. ERP, PIM, CRM) to create a centralized and reliable data repository.
- Policies and processes: Develop governance rules, e.g. for access rights, data maintenance and compliance with legal requirements (e.g. GDPR).
- Provision of tools to automate data collection, maintenance and transfer between systems
- Data analysis: Provision of tools and frameworks that enable fast and precise analysis of product data.
- Monitoring and improving the accuracy, consistency and completeness of product data
- Completed IT degree or degree in industrial engineering with an IT focus
- Many years of experience (>5 years) in the field of data management, in setting up and working with PIM and ERP systems and company-wide tool landscape for storing and processing product data and content
- Experience in solving problems in complex processes with distributed responsibilities
- Personal responsibility, strong communication and organizational skills, creativity and flexibility
- Communication skills and strong customer orientation
- Confident handling of common digital tools and channels
- German language skills at native speaker level and business fluent English skills
- Play a part in anticipating, sensing and responding to technology trends
- Help customers in driving efficiency and sustainability, making a strong impact
