Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Part-Time Remote Accountant to handle our bookkeeping needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting, and a good understanding of financial practices and regulations in Germany.

Tasks

Key Responsibilities:

• Process invoices correctly on a bi-weekly basis and ensure compliance with accounting standards
• Ensure timely and accurate for month-end and year-end close processes
• Collaborate with the accounting team to streamline accounting processes
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
• Flag inconsistencies in invoicing and reporting
• Maintain confidentiality and security of financial data.
• Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts

• Qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably in a tech company
• Excellent communication skills in both English and German
• Familiarity with German accounting standards and regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Datev, Xero, or similar)
• Strong understanding of financial principles and bookkeeping practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and remotely, managing time effectively.
