Tasks

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Hardware Engineer Intern to join our dynamic team. You'll work closely with our CTO and co-founder on the technical implementation of our product vision. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative IoT sensor technology and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced startup environment.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sensor Development: Collaborate on developing electronic sensors to collect tap water data for identifying leaks in single and multi-family residential buildings.
  • Data Transmission: Work on transmitting collected data using state-of-the-art communication technologies.
  • Prototyping & Testing: Develop prototypes and test them across our portfolio of over 150 residential buildings.
  • Material Selection: Assist in selecting materials and composing Bills of Materials (BOMs) using tools like KiCAD.
  • Programming: Utilize Python for data-related projects and microcontroller programming (e.g., ESP32, Nrf9160).

Qualifications:

  • Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Hardware Development, or a related field (minimum 4th semester).
  • Circuit Development: Familiarity with developing electronic circuits and experience in programming microcontrollers (ESP32, Nrf9160, or similar).
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with KiCAD and C/C++ programming.
  • Adaptable: Willingness to learn new topics and adapt to a dynamic startup environment.
