Business Controller (m/f/d)

Your tasks:

• Performing financial variance analysis, understanding results, identifying profitability drivers, communicating and advising management on corrective actions
• You will lead the budgeting, forecasting and tracking processes in the area of debt purchase
• Together with the team, act as the responsible business partner for the Debt Purchase product line with overall responsibility in all countries by providing transparency and guidance to management to enable fact-based decisions and steering of our products and markets
• Proactively and effectively communicate with various stakeholders, discuss the causes of trends, assess their impact and propose solutions or optimizations
• Use analytical tools to analyze data and solve problems with the aim of identifying trends and making proactive decisions
• Ad hoc reporting and analysis

What you bring to the table:

• You have a Master's or MBA degree in economics or finance or a comparable university education
• You have at least three years of professional experience in business controlling or in a debt purchase environment
• You have exceptional interpersonal and intrapersonal skills
• You have the ability to identify problems, structure necessary analyses, balance multiple priorities, work in a detail-oriented and independent manner and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent knowledge of the MS Office package in general and Excel in particular rounds off your profile
• Experience with BI tools is a plus
• You communicate fluently in written and spoken English and ideally have knowledge of German
