We are looking for a Software Engineering student experienced with IoT Technologies, Java and Python varying from the Edge to the Cloud. You will help build new features for a smart IoT fridge and maintain the codebase.

Start: by arrangement / immediately

Location: Düsseldorf-Bilk

Tasks

Developing containerized applications on the edge (Raspberry Pi) using Java and/or Python
Working on our "kiosk controller" software to manage all electronic components locally and communicate with the Google Cloud Platform via MQTT
Implementing payment terminals, gateways and protocols using ZVT, OPI, MDB
Quality assurance of the software through planning, creation and execution of tests
Work with a cross-functional team to define, build, test, and deploy universal applications
Version control with Git and continuous integration are part of your daily work

Requirements

Proficient in Java (Python is a plus)
Experience using Docker to create and manage containers
Knowledge of MQTT and Linux Operating Systems as well as GitLab / CICD
Enrolled in university (looking for a mandatory internship or working student)
Fluent in English
