Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop, plan, and implement procurement strategies focused on optimizing costs, quality, delivery, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products for an assigned category or group of categories.You will collaborate closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth procurement process, balancing strategic initiatives with hands-on execution. Each day, you will ensure execution in accordance with company, procurement, and supply base management instructions and procedures.
You will also showcase your expertise by recommending frame agreements to management and executing upon approval.

This role is contributing to the Drive Products Division within the Motion Business Area in Heidelberg.
You will be mainly accountable for:- Negotiating agreements with main suppliers, including periodical updates of prices, terms and conditions.
- Managing planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, and savings forecasts.
- Leveraging the Continuous Improvement Process Sourcing process for implementing effective sourcing strategies in line with business strategy and ensuring that the supply base/suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements.
- Ensuring identification, investigation, and selection of appropriate suppliers (focusing on quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability) in accordance with company policies.
- Managing and issuing supplier purchase orders and ensuring alignment with technical specifications, pricing, delivery schedules, and contractual terms.
- Monitoring supplier performance (e.g., on-time delivery, quality, lead time, CO₂ footprint) and driving continuous improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency.

Qualifications for the role- You are highly skilled in procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiations, with experience in the industrial or manufacturing sector.
- You have several years of experience in strategic procurement or a similar field, demonstrating strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
- You possess an enhanced knowledge of PowerBI and SAP-MM
- You are passionate about analytical thinking, assertiveness, and relationship management, with the ability to build and maintain strong business partnerships.
- Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- You are at ease communicating in English and German (written and spoken).
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
