Diamant Fahrradwerke Gmb H, based in Hartmannsdorf, was founded in 1885 and is the oldest German bicycle manufacturer and currently employs 500 people. The Role
Diamant Fahrradwerke Gmb H is seeking an experienced Human Resource Manager with extensive operational HR knowledge. The HR Manager will oversee and manage the HR department and provide support to companies’ employees.
Responsibilities- To act as a trusted advisor to the business. Enhances the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
- To ensure working conditions in accordance with the Health, Safety & Environment regulations. Collaboration with the Work Council. Implementation of HR rules and processes.
- Responsible for overseeing the recruitment, selection, and retention of employees within the plant. This involves identifying and attracting top talent, ensuring a thorough and fair selection process, and implementing strategies to retain skilled employees. Work closely with the Plant Leadership team to maintain staffing levels that align with the budget, ensuring that the plant is adequately staffed to meet operational needs while staying within financial constraints.
- To champion diversity and inclusion across the business. To ensure consistent and fair employment practice across the company.
- To manage, motivate and develop the company’s HR team (7 team members) to ensure the best standards of operational HR service delivery. To set clear, challenging, and realistic goals for the team and ensure these goals are achieved.
- To develop and maintain a cost-effective, fair, and competitive pay and benefits strategy. As necessary analyze internal and external pay and rewards benchmarking and make recommendations accordingly.
- Responsible for overseeing and executing the entire "Great Place to Work" process. This includes thorough preparation, developing action plans to enhance the workplace environment, and continuously monitoring these initiatives to ensure that the set objectives are achieved.
- Full responsibility for planning, monitoring, and managing the entire HR budget, which includes personnel costs for all employees as well as the operational costs of the HR department. Ensure that budget targets are met and resources are allocated efficiently.
- Lead and coordinate the company's apprenticeship programs, ensuring that trainees receive qualified support and development. Additionally, I oversee and manage the reception to ensure smooth operations at the front desk.
- Drive the digitalization of HR processes and implement the company's digital strategy by implementing and integrating selected systems and interfaces into existing workflows. Increase the efficiency and transparency of HR processes.
- Responsible for coordinating all data protection activities within the plant, working closely with the external Data Protection Officer. Ensure that legal requirements are met and that the protection of our employees' personal data is maintained.
- Consistently conduct yourself in a manner that exemplifies and upholds the Diamant culture and values. Through your actions and decisions, you strive to be a recognized role model within the organization, inspiring others to embody these principles and contribute to a positive and values-driven workplace environment.
- A bachelor’s degree and/or related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- A proven record of success as a senior HR generalist
- Language: German and English fluent
- Experience of leading, motivating and developing a team
- Has the appropriate knowledge and understanding to advise the business on attraction, development, engagement and retention of talent
- Entrepreneurial mind-set with a can do attitude and hands-on mentality
- Adaptable and flexible in delivery and able to operate productively under pressure
- Resilient and not afraid to tackle difficult issues
- Well-developed negotiation and mediation skills
- A team player who fosters teamwork
- Demonstrates integrity and able to be highly confidential
